Gene's Root Beer and Hot Dogs

First time here and definitely not my last!!! The Spanish sauce is delish!!!! And their homemade root beer..... chef kiss!!

What is there to say that hasn’t been said about this American treasure? The service was great followed with beautiful smiles. I ordered 3 chili dogs and a 32oz root beer. It all hit perfectly. I never wanted it to end. The music playing set you in a Time Machine back to the hay day of hotdog joints and roll n roll. For a brief moment you can forget all you worries and just enjoy the simple things

I came here with my family for the first time today. We tried the hot dogs with their house spanish sauce, their french fries and onion rings and the root beer floats with Gene's homemade root beer. Our server was super friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our drive in restaurant experience. We will be back :)

We Love Gene's! We lived in Anderson for years we're on a trip back from Phoenix Arizona We lived out there for almost 10 years and couldn't wait to get Spanish dog!

Great visit! Slaw dog had a nice horseradish zing to it. The owner was very personable. He sat down with me and told me a bit of the history for the drive-in. He kindly offered me a complimentary mug of root beer. It was delicious!

I love going here for Christmas trees during the winter. So I tried their food out for the first time today. I liked the vintage vibes going on. The food is reasonably priced. But the food wasn’t very warm or impressive. I didn’t realize the hotdogs aren’t not all beef. Hot dog was barely warm at all and onion rings. I will say the root beer float was good I would get that again. But over all I love the vibe of the place just think that the food could be improved quality wise. I might try again and hope things improve. I know some places have bad days .
